Meat and Potatoes for Your Affiliate Diet

Banners? A Dead issue? Get the BEEF!

Part of any On-line Marketers arsenal of Income Producing Venues
are quality Affiliate Relationships. But How does one Generate the Positive
response from the seemingly saturating Market?

Tom Kulzer, CEO of Aweber.com delivers some solid Insight on the Subject.

Contrary to "public Opinion" E-mail marketing is not a Dying Industry,
One need to develop the skills to keep you Subscribers anticipating your next Mail

Read what Tom has to say:

Think of banner ads as the spice in your affiliate diet. Sprinkle them around, but for a heartier helping of sales, you’ll need something more solid! Learn to give your visitors longer, more descriptive pre-sales text. Revamp your affiliate advertising using these simple steps:

  • Pull the Reader in Introduce the Product
  • Explain the Product’s Significance
  • Tell the Reader to Make a Purchase

Pull the Reader in

To convince your audience that your text is worth reading, make your first sentence or two very interesting. Make a bold statement, say something seemingly ridiculous, or appeal to your prospect’s emotional side. Then, tie this grabber in with the rest of your copy.

Introduce the Product

What is the product you’re advertising? What does it do? Directly after your grabber, give a compact explanation of your product. Keep this explanation short, while still being very clear. This should still be a very short section of your text.

Explain the Product’s Significance

What will it do for me?

By writing your own copy, you can directly target your unique audience. Make the most of this opportunity! Clearly explain how your readers will benefit from this product.

No one knows your audience like you do. Suggest a variety of product uses just for them, and give examples. This is the time for details - make this section long and rich.

Tell the Reader to Make a Purchase

You’ve come so far - you’ve laid out exactly what the product is and how it will help your unique audience. Now, seal the deal - tell your readers to purchase the product! Include your affiliate link in this section.

This step may sound strange, but it’s necessary. Often, people hear about a product and are genuinely interested, but fail to actually make a purchase. A clear call to a simple action cuts down on buyer ambivalence. Don’t be pushy - just change your verb tenses to the imperative. Instead of:

“If you think that you fit this profile, you might want to think about buying this product.”

Say: “Click here to order an account today.”

Drive Sales - Use Long Copy

If you don’t feel ready to write long copy yourself, ask your affiliate program manager for help! Many companies release well-written articles by respected authors that you can reprint free of charge.

The novelty of the Web is wearing off. People online now are busy. Surfers won’t make a purchase unless you make a great case for what they’ll get out of it. And you’re not going to do that with just a banner ad.

Five Ways You Can Build Your Reputation With Social Networking
By Bob Jenkins

Are you using social networks to build your reputation online? Whether you already are or you are just getting started with sites like Twitter, Facebook, and Ning, building your online reputation is your biggest responsibility.

Here are five ways to make sure you do it right.

#1: Be Proud Of Being You

The first thing is, you have to be yourself. You have to be who you are. Because although you can get away with being fake for a little while, as soon as one person realizes that you're not who you say you are, your reputation is destroyed almost instantly because of the power of social networking.

So be yourself. And don't be afraid of being yourself. Realize that you have some gifts and some knowledge that people need to know about, and those that want to learn from you are going to gravitate towards you. Those that don't think you're worth listening to are basically going to ignore you. And it's at their peril, so don't worry about them.

#2: Transparency - Never Hide From Your Audience

The second thing about your reputation is you should try to be transparent at all times. This means you keep everything real with your audience.

For example, over the last year, I used social media to show you my move from Maryland to North Carolina, including drama with the movers, picking the house, and getting it set up. I also pulled back the curtain to show what it takes to run a product launch.

When I did my last product launch, I was Twittering every day what I was doing to get ready for this site. Most of the gurus out there would keep everything under lock and key, and I was being very clear, saying, "This is what I'm doing to get ready for this launch." It actually helped me have a better launch, even though I told everybody exactly what I was going to be doing.

They didn't think that they had some surprise or whatever like most people teach; they just were excited to be part of it and part of the story. So be transparent. Let people know what you're doing and why you're doing it, and they're going to learn how to trust you.

#3: Be Positive For Positive Results

The third way to build your reputation is to be positive.

There are folks out there who generally can do a good job of being negative. I don't know about you, but I don't find that to be a very long-term profitable strategy.

It may get you some attention at first and spark some controversy, but that's not the way to go. Be looking forward to the optimistic of your industry, of your business and what the results are going to be.

It would be easy for you to go onto Twitter or onto Facebook and talk about how you're having a bad day or this product sucks or this week sucks or this relationship sucks. But you're not really there for a support network, per se.

You'll find some of that. If you have something bad happen in your life, sharing it with your followers will be very therapeutic for you and you will get a lot of support back. But when you're just blasting negative things out, you're going to get negative things in return, usually.

So try to be positive as much as possible and look for the opportunities that are out there and look at them from that positive perspective.

#4: Build Your Reputation And They Will Come

The fourth thing you must do is to be patient. This is because, initially, your reputation is going to be built only by yourself and the first initial people who get to know you. But as time goes on and you get more followers and you build a larger network of friends and peers, your reputation will solidify to allow your business to grow.

Once it hits a tipping point, your reputation and business accelerates at a very quick pace.

So be patient and let it happen. Don't try this stuff out for a week and then come back to me next week and say, "Well, it didn't really work. I didn't really get any results yet." You've got to let social networking play out over a few weeks and then a couple months and so on. A year from now your business is going to be tremendously different compared to where it is right now.

#5: Contribute To The Conversation – Every Day!

The fifth thing about your reputation is you need to be someone that people look to as a contributor, not as a leech, not as a mooch, as a contributor.

You have to be willing to be involved in the conversation, and you have to be willing to give as much or even more than what you're going to get in return. The people who do that are growing so fast it makes my head spin.

I feel that I'm a pretty giving person but I see some other folks out there that just keep on giving, giving, giving and they just build up a huge following and that social capital is a real asset to your business. So you need to make sure that you're contributing as much as possible to the conversation.

I don't mean that as just go around randomly and try to help people. Within your specific task, your specific industry, the things you know well, you need to be at the forefront of letting people know how to do what you know how to do without charging them money at first.

They'll come and find your site and your products and they'll pay you for that as time goes on and their needs grow. With social networking you need to be building your reputation up first.

If somebody has a question, you should be one of the first people who answers and you need to answer without reservation not just, "Oh, I answered that in my eBook; go buy it". They're going to find your eBook if you just talk to them and give them solutions to the problem they are struggling with at that moment.

Give people your input, your encouragement for them to get better at what they are trying to do.

Any little quick free advice you can give, give it.

Actively Build Your Reputation With Social Networking And Reap The Rewards

You've got to be in this for the reason of having fun and really building that relationship. Dollars will come, there's no doubt about that. But first, connect with people and really help them out. Understand that they'll become loyal followers of what you do and see you for who you are.

Follow these 5 steps to building your reputation online and you'll not only beat your competition, you'll have more fun doing it!

Real Secret of Network Marketing Success

"The Real Secret Of Network Marketing Success"

Network marketing is not easy. I will not lie. But, in
saying that there is a little known way to absolutely ensure
your success.

This secret is seldom used yet for those that do hold true
to the principle that I am about to outline you simple
cannot fail. That's right your success is 100% guaranteed.

Before we get to the secret let's do a little ground work to
set the stage for HUGE and quick success in network
marketing.

The level of success and freedom in life that network
marketing offers to the average person is unlimited and
that's the appeal, but there are some ways to help ensure
that success occurs for you as quickly as possible.

Most people jump into a new home business on a hope and
dream.

They look at the compensation plan and the testimonials
involved with the network marketing company that they are
about to join and see the vision.

They say "Man ... IF I max out this plan I'll be making
$40,000 a month and I'll never have to work again! Let's
give it try!"

They fill themselves up with anticipation for the windfall
of cash that is on the way and they sit back and wait for
the money to come to them.

Then a month later after they go through a few trails and
try a few things unsuccessfully they say . . . "Why isn't
this working?"

Then the next month when they put in half the effort they
put in their first month and nothing happens again they quit
and say they were scammed.

My question to you is . . . were they scammed?

You see, before you start any Network Marketing business you
have to do a little bit more homework than just look at the
compensation plan and the testimonials. You have to really
research what you are about to get yourself into.

What type of research do you have to do? What questions
should you ask?

Here they are:

" How long has the company been around?

" What is the product?

" Is the product unique?

" Does the product have mass appeal?

" Is the product a front runner in an emerging market?

" Can you become passionate about the product?

" Does the business have a powerful marketing system in
place?

" Who are the successful people in this business?

" What are the successful people doing to create that
success?

" Is the product something that the majority of the public
can afford?

" Am I personally financial stable enough to start a new
business?

" What type of a monthly marketing budget will I have to set
aside to be successful?

" What are the conversion statistics for the marketing
process?

" Is the business truly duplicable?

" What would be my break even point?

" Is there a way to make money quickly with this business or
is there a way that I can create a quick income in
marketing
this business?

" Etc.

You see it's not just the opportunity that has to be
correct. You TOO have to be correct for the opportunity and
you have to be in a financial position to take advantage of
the opportunity at hand.

Way too many times I see people joining my business that
jump in on a hope and a dream.

They have barely enough money to pay for there monthly
membership commitment and yet they still want to know the
fastest way to grow their business for FREE.

When people get caught up in the emotion of opening the
possibility for more in their life sometimes they don't
think clearly. They think if they can just get themselves in
they will get rich.

It's not just about getting yourself in.

It's about getting yourself in and putting yourself in a
position to be able to fully maximize the opportunity at
hand.

I get asked the following WRONG question all the time.

"How long until I make money?"

It's not about how long until you make money it's about what
you have to do to make money.

The truth is you could put yourself in a profitable
situation tomorrow or today, but it would take resources and
a good deal of learning to know how to do it.

The truth is, the fast way is never the FREE way. It's
either going to take you a good deal of money to put
yourself in a profitable position or a good deal of
education and leverage, and most of the time both.

There is no luck factor.

You don't earn money until you are worth of the income you
produce. As the great Earl Nightingale always says "You have
to be worth more than you are getting paid for your inc0me
to grow."

This is the natural state of all things and it's not going
to change. In order for your inc0me to grow you must grow.

Now . . .

Let me back up for a second to say that you CAN create a
large amount of success in Network Marketing for free, but
not until you know how.

If you don't have the answer to this question of how to
create a large amount of success for free now and it is a
burning desire for you learn how to do this, then get out
there and do the necessary leg work and research to get
yourself into to the position in which you can grow your
network marketing organization for FREE.

Enough of this banter . . .

If you want to have HUGE success in Network Marketing
quickly you will need to of course obtain or create a
powerful marketing system that is highly duplicatable. If you
want do this on the internet here are the critical factors
that you should look for in the least:

" A high power lead capture page

" A strong follow up email system that incorporates the fear
of loss.

" A direct marketing style website that sells so you don't
have to.

Let's talk about the secret that will absolutely guarantee
that you succeed in Network Marketing.

Ready?

Well remember when I gave the example above of the typical
mindset for people entering into network marketing?

They say:

"Man ... IF I max out this plan I'll be making $40,000 a
month and I'll never have to work again! Let's give it try!"

All we have to do is change one word in this statement to
give you the little know secret to guaranteeing you network
marketing success.

Change the word "IF" to "WHEN"

Don't make it a possibility to succeed in network marketing
make it a conviction.

It's the people that see the compensation plan and do all
the research that I've noted above and then say to
themselves that it's only a matter of time until they max
out their compensation plan that truly and always without a
shadow of a doubt succeed.

Network marketing is not something that works part of the
time or if your lucky. It always works as long as you do
everything in your power to make it work.

Set a goal in your network marketing business and don't stop
until you get there and you WILL get there. I guarantee it.

Reporter vs Expert - Why Most Bloggers Are Stuck Reporting

I have always appreciated Yaro Starak clear and concise Mentoring and his direction has really brought Increase to my Overall Marketing Programs.

The Following is an example of his leadership in bringing up a point that is eveident in not just Blogging but in the whole Marketing Arena.

YOU ARE AN EXPERT!
Show It to the World Today

I happen to know about growing Tomatoes, and enjoying high yields.

Who cares?

Thousands who have watched My Videos
And a large number who follow My Blog

There are basically two types of bloggers in the world - reporters and experts - and some people perform both roles (usually the experts, it’s hard for reporters to become experts, but it’s easy for experts to report).

If you have ever taken an Internet marketing course or attended a seminar specifically for beginners, you have probably heard about the two different methodologies. Whenever the business model is based on content, and if you blog for money then the model is based on content, people are taught to either start as reporters, or if possible step up as experts.

I’ll be frank, you want to be the expert.

Reporters leverage the content of the experts and in most cases people start off as reporters because they haven’t established expertise. Experts enjoy the perks of preeminence, higher conversion rates because of perceived value, it’s easier to get publicity, people are more likely to seek you out rather than you having to seek others out, joint ventures come easier, etc… experts in most cases simply make more money and attract more attention.

Most Bloggers Are Reporters

The thing with expertise is that it requires something - experience. No person becomes an expert without doing things and learning. Bloggers usually start out without expertise and as a result begin their blogging journey by talking about everything going on in their niche (reporting) and by interviewing and talking about other experts (reporting again).

There’s nothing wrong with reporting of course and for many people it’s a necessity at first until you build up some expertise. Unfortunately the ratios are pretty skewed when it comes to reporters and experts - there are a lot more reporters than there are experts, hence reporters tend to struggle to gain attention and when they do, they often just enhance the reputation of the expert they are reporting on.

Don’t Replicate Your Teacher

If you have ever spent some time browsing products in the learn Internet marketing niche you will notice a pattern. Many people first study Internet marketing from a “guru” (for lack of a better term). The guru teaches how he or she is able to make money online, and very often the view that the student gleams is that in order to make money online you have to teach others how to make money online.

The end result of this process is a huge army of amateurs attempting to replicate what their teacher does in the same industry - the Internet marketing industry - not realizing that without expert status based on a proven record and all the perks that come with it, it’s next to impossible to succeed.

Even people who enjoy marginal success, say for example growing an email list of 1,000 people, then go out and launch a product about how to grow an email list of 1,000 people. Now I have no problems with that, I think it’s fine to teach beginners and leverage whatever achievements you have, the problem is that people gravitate to the same niche - Internet marketing - and rarely have any key points of differentiation.

How many products out there do you know of that all claim to teach the same things - email marketing, SEO, pay per click, affiliate marketing, and all the sub-niches that fall under the category of Internet marketing. It’s a saturated market, yet when you see your teachers and other gurus making money teaching others how to make money (and let’s face it - making money as a subject is one of the most compelling) - your natural inclination is to follow in their footsteps.
If the key is to become an expert and you haven’t spent the last 5-10 years making money online, I suggest you look for another niche to establish expertise in.

Report on Your Process, Not Others

The secret to progress from reporter to expert is not to focus on other experts and instead report on your own journey. When you are learning how to do something and implementing things day by day, or studying other people’s work, you need to take your process and what you do as a result of what you learn, and use it as content for your blog.

It’s okay to talk about experts when you learn something from them, but always relate it to what you are doing. If you learn a technique from an expert it’s fine to state you learned it from them (and affiliate link to their product too!) but you should then take that technique, apply it to what you are doing and then report back YOUR results, not there’s. Frame things using your opinion - your stories - and don’t regurgitate what the expert said. The key is differentiation and personality, not replication.

Expertise comes from doing things most people don’t do and then talking about it. If you do this often enough you wake up one day as an expert, possibly without even realizing how it happened, simply because you were so good at reporting what you did.

You Are Already An Expert

Most people fail to become experts (or perceived as experts) because they don’t leverage what they already know. Every person who lives a life learns things as they go, takes action every day and knows something about something. The reason why they never become an expert is because they choose not to (which is fine for some, not everyone wants to be an expert), but if your goal is to blog your way to expertise and leave the world of reporting behind you have to start teaching and doing so by leveraging real experience.

Experience can come from what you do today and what you have done previously, you just need to take enough steps to demonstrate what you already know and what you are presently learning along your journey. I know so many people in my life who are experts simply by virtue of the life they have lived, yet they are so insecure about what they know, they never commit their knowledge to words for fear of…well fear.

Blogs, and the Web in general, are amazing resources when you leverage them as a communication tool to spread your expertise because of the sheer scope of people they can reach. If all you ever do is talk to people in person and share your experience using limited communication mediums, you haven’t much hope of becoming an expert. Take what you know and show other people through blogging, and you might be surprised how people change their perception of you in time.

Reporting Is A Stepping Stone

If your previous experience and expertise is from an area you want to leave behind or you are starting from “scratch”, then reporting is the path you must walk, at least for the short term.

Reporting is a lot of fun. Interviewing experts, talking about what other people are doing and just being part of a community is not a bad way to blog. In many cases people make a career of reporting (journalism is about just that), but if you truly want success and exponential results, at some point you will have to stand up and proclaim yourself as someone unusually good at something and then proceed to demonstrate it over and over again.

Have patience and focus on what you do to learn and then translate that experience into lessons for others, and remember, it’s okay to be a big fish in a small pond, that’s all most experts really are.

Olympians and the Law of Attraction, The complete set of the Master Key

The whole world seems to be focused on Beijing, China and the Summer Olympics.

To follow more of Tony and our Live Broadcast discussion
of the Master Key
Visit:

The Focus Society of Overachievers

Victories and heartbreaks surround the pageantry and excitement
of such an athletic extravaganza, but also the constant
pondering of HOW DO THEY DO IT

My Good friend Tony Michalski and publisher of my
favorite edition of the following Books has made some
poignant observations:

Read Tony's Thoughts and take advantage of his Offer

The Olympics are always a time to watch the best of
the best compete for the most coveted reward of all -
the Gold Medal. Athletes prepare and train for YEARS
in order to just get a shot at winning one.

And it is amazing to watch them compete. Like you, I
learn something every time I watch.

This year I learned a valuable lesson from a woman
gymnast - Alicia Sacramone. She only won a silver
medal, but that's OK, because she did something that
taught me about true competition.

You see, she was competing in the balance beam
event. She's on her mark, she gets set, she goes, and as
she jumps onto the beam, she slips and falls! Ouch!

If that were me, I more than likely would have stood,
dusted myself, and walked slowly off the mat with my head
hung low.

Not her. She stood, dusted herself off, and
COMPLETED HER ROUTINE.
And she did very well, I might add.

Did she win that day? Nope. Did she crack a little under
the pressure? Perhaps. Did she make herself a hero in front
of her family and friends and country? Perhaps to a degree,
but not like she won a Gold.

Did she fail? NOT ON YOUR LIFE!

If anything, she personified EXACTLY what it takes to be
a winner. After a most dreadful fall, she had the mental
clarity and ability to clear her mind and do what she went
to China to do.

That, my friends, is the "secret" to winning.

It's the ability to take it to the end even after a fatal
flaw. To forget the past (even if it just happened!) and
run towards a future. It's to get the job done well even
though your chances of "winning" are nil.

Keep that in mind the next time you get set back or the
next time you err or blunder. Not many things are permanent
until we say that they are. And it rarely hurts to complete
what you set out to do even if it means that you won't get
all the accolades.

As Haanel wrote in Week Four of THE MASTER KEY SYSTEM:

12. Unless you do this, you had better not start at all,
because modern Psychology tells us that when we start
something and do not complete it, or make a resolution
and do not keep it, we are forming the habit of failure --
absolute, ignominious failure. If you do not intend to do
a thing, do not start. If you do start, see it through
even if the heavens fall; if you make up your mind to do
something, do it; let nothing, no one interfere; the "I"
in you has determined, the thing is settled; the die is
cast, there is no longer any argument.

To help celebrate the Olympics and to foster that
Olympian Attitude, I would like to offer
